Posted

In February, the Jewish community across North America will recognize Jewish Disability Advocacy Month 2021 (JDAM), a month of virtual experiences, including in education, solidarity-building and empowerment in support of people with disabilities. The programming will be broken down into four topic areas, each taking place during one week. These topics are Empowerment; Breaking Barriers; Creating Opportunity and Disability Rights are Civil Rights: Advocacy Week

Your portal to JDAM programming is jewishtogether.org/JDAM.

On Feb. 23 at 7 p.m., Amy S. F. Lutz, author of “We Walk,” will discuss the place of intellectually and developmentally disabled people in society and the responsibilities we, as citizens and human beings, have to one another. The free program, sponsored by the Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island, will take place on Zoom.
